Shutting Down of Google +

But now I am posting update news of Google+ app. This is shocking news for me that is 5 Lakhs users data is fully hacked. The date of October 8, 2018, Google announced that the Google+ app was shutting down for consumers. The Google announcement is Google+ would be fully shut down by August 2019, to allow users to download and migrate their information.

Google + launched on 28 June 2011, which owned by Google. As you know, Google is a big brand that is highly useful for search engines. Google+ is a social networking site that is using for your all current activity for your private and business promotions like you can post your updates, events, offers and post reliable information. Google+ work is like Facebook like you can create groups, you can post anything and you can gain followers.

Google+ data breach - According to the report of The Wall Street Journal, Google+ is not secure. They said Google knew about the issue of hacking data since march but not show it because it has not happened the first time, data breached happened earlier also. The wall street journal has reported that Google indeed did expose the data of thousands of users on Google+ and then thousands of users cross to lakhs numbers due to reason of negligence by Google.

Google Statement: Google Vice President Ben Smith said in a statement that the user's data was exposed through an API that is used by third-party apps. API means an application program interface that is used for transferring data from one software to another.

Data breached due to negligence of Google, So 500,000 users’ data possibly exposed. This year, the Yahoo Messenger app was also shut down for some reason. Yahoo did not give any reason for its cancellation, and then the yahoo messenger app was shut down on July 17, 2018. According to this report, Yahoo reveals 3 billion accounts affected by the hack. Now, Google does the same work as yahoo for security issues. so this is the reason Google+ is shutting down.

The company said in a blog post. The company gives two reasons for Google+ shutting down: low user engagement and difficulties in creating and maintaining data. Another reason is high competition like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. Facebook is the most popular social networking site. Everyone knows about Facebook like how to create an account on Facebook and how to run Facebook. so this is not an easy task to build a large network of Google+ app. this is a too highly unchallengeable task. That’s why Google+ failed to create large networks of users and failed to keep up users' data.

Now, Google says Google+ for consumers will wind down over a 10 month period, which would be completed by the end of August. In the end, the future plan of Google is to create the enterprise version of Google+ alive.
